Lead Academy

Our LEAD program is a FREE one day experience held at our college designed to work in conjunction with the SC educational standards to provide students with hands-on experiences in a particular area of engineering and computing. Your students will be engaged in hands-on project based learning all day! This one day experience will be from 9am-3pm. We have travel scholarships that can be submitted for funds for a bus driver, bus rental, mileage, and substitute teacher. Lunch will be provided for all students. **Registration is closed for the Spring 2018** Check back for Fall dates soon!

eWeek: Daughter Date Night

February 21, 2019

The College of Engineering and Computing is excited to host it's first annual Daughter Date Night!  Middle school age girls are invited to apply for this FREE event, along with one adult as their "date".  There will be time for our guest to collaborate, design and test a hands-on engineering activity.  Guest will be served dinner while they have the opportunity to chat with current women in the College of Engineering and Computing at UofSC!

3D Printer Professional Development Workshop

Monday, March 25, 2019 from 9am-4pm

This workshop will feature learning opportunities with 3D printing technologies and will focus on design, modeling, file processing and instructional strategies. This workshop is open to 6-12 grade teachers.

Computer Science Workshop

Tuesday, March 26, 2019 9am-4pm

This workshop will feature computer science principles. Teachers will experience a variety of instructional platforms while learning and reinforcing foundation computer science principles and best practices for instructional strategies.
